December 2009

In this picture she was walking toward me. Don't mind the drool...I think we have a new tooth coming in.

It was a tad on the difficult side to get Cody and Mickenzie to look at the camera at the same time...Cody didn't want much to do with Mickenzie the bulk of the time.

After we were done (I know they're out of order) she wanted to take her Moraccas (spelling?) to her bed for "Ni-Ni". After a few pics I took them away.

I think the sun was a bit too much.

My new favorite face...the scrunch and smile.

Early August

My friend Angi has been over the past two weekends and has taken more pictures in two days than I have in a few months. Needless to say, I think I'm in the market for a new fancy camera that can move. Nothing too exciting is happening here....attempting to get ready for the fair is on my agenda, Troy is farming, and Mickenzie has been attempting to crawl. No luck yet on that though.

Playing with her hands...and it looks like she sees something in the grass...hmm...

Quite possibly my new favorite picture of Mickenzie.

What a neat hat.

I think it looks like she's ready to move...

How can you not love this face?

The closests Mr. Gray (aka Beal) has ever gotten to Kenzie. He walked right past her and spent quite a while in the lawn behind her just hanging out.

In her chair going to see her dad's shop with Auntie Angi.

Eating one of her Mum Mums...those things make the biggest mess.

Her most favorite shoe.

Dazed and confused.

A cute giggle face...and you can see her two bottom teeth. Her top are coming in...she hates to have you stick your finger in her mouth to feel. Ouch!

Sort of blurry, but she loves chewing on these shoes. Not sure why.

Kenzie has been attempting to crawl. She can push herself up on her arms and moves backward. I hope the forward thing comes, but I'm not pushing it to happen right away....she's not going to be a slow child.

The diaper change.

Kenzie playing on her dad's lap.

Six months almost done...

Kenzie's first ride in her new jogging stroller. She wasn't too sure about the whole thing. I had to strap a few toys in...her new thing is tossing them out. This was on 6/7...the six-month mark.

Father's Day at the Cattlemen's Picnic. It was so cold up there...she was super bundled. Wearing a fabulous yardsale find, thanks to Lindsay.

Hmm...same picture I guess.

Helping her Grandpa Mick read his Father's Day card. I'm sure she would have preferred to eat it though.

Trying out her new sippy-cup. She likes this one so much better than her others.

For whatever reason Isaiah's shorts were the coolest thing. He would try to hand her a toy and she went straight for his shorts.

Mickenzie playing with her new friend Isaiah. She had met him before, but was enjoying the odd hide-and-seek game they had going on. We stayed with the Jones family while I was taking my class in La Grande this week. Mickenzie had such a wonderful time...now she's catching up on sleep.

This is the first floor of West where I lived for two years. It's a bit crazy!

This doesn't even pertain to Mickenzie, but this is a picture of the old "Game Room" in my college dorm. I'm not sure if it's coming down or what.

Playing on the floor (6/26) after running errands.

Yes, I think she's the cutest kid ever!

Just a cute picture of Kenzie sitting on her dad's lap.

Troy and Mickenzie went out early Saturday morning, while camping Memorial Day, to discuss how to make a camp fire, checked out the river, and later she helped him get his fishing stuff in order. It was really important stuff.

Mickenzie was rockin' her pink shades when we went to drive for firewood on Saturday afternoon. Pattie, Kenzie, and I rode in the backseat looking for mushrooms...Pattie can do it...I not so much.

Sunday morning Kenzie lounged for quite some time with her bottle. She slept the whole night, well, she also went to bed about an hour later, but who was paying attention to that. Keep in mind that all night was waking up at 5:30.

Sunday afternoon, Pattie and I went for a girls drive and Mickenzie stayed back at camp with Troy and Aron. She had a great time sitting in her swing and playing. Cody still doesn't seem too sure of Kenzie grabbing his nose, nor the noise she makes.

When I got back I snapped this picture. It's one of the few that she actually has smiled for. She smiles, then when she sees the camera she decides to get all serious on me. Oh well, love this picture, though some think she looks like a boy. We were camping for heaven's sake.

Kenzie and I in front of the river. When we camped here a few years ago, you could walk across the river on some rocks. This time, it was moving a tad on the fast side. Troy and Aron even floated it...brave souls with the snow run-off...or whatever you call it.

Kenzie spent quite a bit of time in her Bumbo (thanks again Cousin Zach!). She watched her dad tear down camp out the kicthen window. It's important for everyone to understand that we aren't really the "roughing it" while camping type. We cheat a bit with our generators, coffee pots, Pattie's laptop computer, heat, etc. Oh well...we were in touch with nature at least.

This is a picture from this afternoon. Aunt Lora came out to help me do some yard work...boy is there a lot to be done. Kenzie had her 6 month pictures taken by one of Lora's friends this morning. After her naps, she's by far one of the happiest kids I know. Before her nap...watch out! We were just sitting on the cooler talking, then Troy and neighbor Cody left to go work on the rototiller (uugh). Mickenzie always seems to smile when Troy talks to her.

Mickenzie is teething, so it's a rare shot to not have her fingers in her mouth. She intently watched her dad and Cody leave this afternoon.
I know I haven't been the best, or at least sort of good, at posting pictures lately. Going back to work has sort of put a cramp in my free-time schedule. Thankfully, summer is right around the corner. That means lots of early morning walks (I hope), BBQs, and some fun little trips...or at least visits to more people than we do on week nights.
On June 7th Mickenzie will be 6 months old....how fast the time had gone!
